Size: 19" x 19" 350 signed and numbered limited edition art prints
Built in 1910, this is the last firehall and bell tower of its era left in the city. It is shown with a 1941 LaFrance custom 500 pumper parked out front brightly admired by a young child as a firefighter looks on.
Although the actual fire station closed in 1957, it lives on in as the Walterdale Playhouse Theatre. This is an outstanding example of a Railway Pagoda style buiding, unique to Canadian Railroad architecture. The painting depicts the station on a cold January morning towards the end of the steam era.
The images presented are limited edition prints from original watercolours by Daniel John Campbell. Each print is on 100 lb, 100% acid free paper, comes with a certificate of authenticity, and has been examined and approved by the artist before being signed and numbered. All dimensions refer to paper size; image size is approximately 3" less in height and width.
